I don't know if you other electricians out there have had to deal with really cluttered houses when having to do a re-wire ?
I'm sure you have, but i would guess that I could count on one hand how many have had to do a re-wire under these conditions?
We would not normally have taken on a job like this but we felt really sorry for the lady and it really !!!!! needed a re-wire. Lead and rubber cables cables all oer the place. Not even one piece of PVC cable in the whole property. I don't know if you can see in the picture but this is a picture of the cellar and right at the back behind all the STUFF !! is the main head and fuse box. To cut a verrrrrry long story short, Very short, We managed to rewire the house but arranged for two guys to come in and help the lady by clearing and cleaning the whole house.
On the last day of the rewire a guy from EDF came round and could not believe it when he could come and read the meter !!
After takeing nearly 3 weeks !!! to do the rewire not only was the property electricly safe but you could now walk around safely without climbing over clothes and boxes and furniture.
